All Wedding Dresses

Well, like I said the site is about wedding dresses and to be honest, I rely on somebody else to take of all the techy type stuff for me. So nice soft elegant and special wedding dresses are my thing, not keeping all the web technical stuff straight.

So what happened, apparently is that my tech guy was fixing something and got whatever it was (apparently one of the pages having to do with Spring 2005 Wedding Dresses was not quite right) all fixed, and then did something weird to the “permissions.” So when I tried to login today I got a nasty thing that said I wasn’t allowed to access the page.

It was kind of a major panic for me - I mean, it is my site, so I should be able to access it, right?. Then I find out that NOBODY could see anything - EVERYBODY got that error page. Well, the site is pretty new so I guess it isn’t a really major disaster or anything, but anybody who tried to visit now probably won’t come back.

So he got it fixed and apologized and pled brain fever or something. It’s kind of got me thinking that I really need to spend time learning more about how all this really works so I can be a little better prepared to handle things and know what I need to check at least.

So for anyone who tried to visit, I’m really sorry. I hope it doesn’t ever happen again and that you’ll be able to search for that wedding dress you want with no problems, check out the articles and so on. Oh, I also just got hold of a book on wedding favors and gifts. I’ll probably put some parts of it up on the site here (even though I’ll need my tech guy to help me). Afterward I’ll check and make sure everybody can still get to the site. I kind of learned a lesson from this little mess.
