There are two types of aging that is faced by normal human beings. They are intrinsic or chronological aging and extrinsic or environmental aging.
Intrinsic or chronological aging will be the natural continuous aging process that normally begins in the early 20s.
It is also determined by the genetic disposition of the body but the signs of intrinsic aging can only be visible in years to come.

The main factor that can cause this type of aging would be the sun or photo-aging but there are contributors that can cause this environmental aging.
It can be due to over exposed to pollution, wind and heat, expression lines, sleeping patterns and gravity, and also some bad habits like poor diet, alcohol, smoking or lack of drinking water.
Sun or photo-aging will contributes the most in skin aging by effects such as freckles, rough skin, and blotchy complexion or to the effect of skin cancer.
The amount of photo aging develops on human skin will be depending on the person’s skin colour or the history of long term or intense sun exposure.
There are lot myths on how to look and stay younger. One of the myths is to perform facial exercises like chewing on gum, smile widely or to stretch and pull the cheeks to have a younger skin.
It is now clinically proven that facial expressions as such contribute to extrinsic aging as repetitive facial movements actually leads to fine lines and wrinkles.
This does not mean that we should not be smiling or be happy to prevent from aging.
So check with the dermatologists for a better understanding on the cause and the effect of aging before purchasing any anti aging products to erase the signs of getting older.
